Axarquia. Gusty levante winds, salt air on the seafront and lots of village houses and penthouses. Plenty of cassette awnings with wind sensors and vertical awnings.
Malaga city. Flats, penthouses and communities of owners where a uniform facade is the rule. Drop arm awnings and awnings for communities.
Costa del Sol. Villas, residential developments and bar and restaurant terraces on the seafront promenade. Bioclimatic pergolas and awnings for bars.
Costa Tropical. A mild climate all year round and seafront homes between Almuñécar and Motril. Zip screens and enclosures.
Granada. Hot, dry summers and cold winters: dense shade in summer and shelter in winter. Bioclimatic pergolas in Granada and fly screens.

Looking for awnings near me? Your questions answered
Is there an awning company near me that will come and measure for free?
If you’re in the Axarquia, Malaga city, the Costa del Sol, the Costa Tropical or Granada city and its metropolitan area, yes: us. We’re an awning company based in Velez-Malaga and we come out to measure for free, with no obligation, in all of these areas. When you search for "awnings near me" or "pergolas near me", what you really need is someone who can come to your home, see your terrace and come back if you ever need them.
In the Axarquia we work in Velez-Malaga, Torre del Mar, Nerja, Torrox, Rincon de la Victoria and Algarrobo. In Malaga and on the Costa del Sol, in Malaga city, Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Marbella and Estepona. And in Granada, in Motril, Salobreña, Almuñécar and Granada city.
If your town isn’t on the list, send us a WhatsApp with its name. We often plan routes and can drop by while we’re visiting other customers in the same area.
The visit includes measuring, advice and the fabric and colour sample books, and afterwards we give you a written quote with a fixed price in under 24 hours. That way you can compare calmly, knowing exactly what each item includes, and decide in your own time with no obligation.
Does the best awning change depending on where you are on the coast?
Yes, quite a lot. The system, the fabric and the automation depend heavily on the local climate. In the Axarquia the levante blows in strong gusts and on the seafront salt air attacks materials quickly, so there we often recommend cassette awnings with a wind sensor, powder-coated aluminium and stainless fixings.
In Malaga city, community rules and a uniform facade carry more weight, with lots of drop arm awnings and vertical awnings on the balconies of flats. On the Costa del Sol, with its villas and large gardens, people ask for more bioclimatic pergolas and aluminium pergolas, and bars and restaurants ask for windbreaks with side guides.
On the Costa Tropical the climate is mild almost all year and terraces get used for many months; zip screens and enclosures extend the season. In Granada city, with dry heat in summer and cold in winter, bioclimatic pergolas and fly screens work really well.
Each town page explains these differences in detail, with the neighbourhoods and villages where we work and the questions we’re asked most there. If you live between two areas, for example inland in the Axarquia or in a village near Granada, we tailor our recommendation at the visit to what we see on your terrace: which way it faces, its height and the wind.
How long does it take you to come and measure in my town?
It depends on the time of year and our visit schedule, which tends to be busier in spring and early summer, so we don’t give a fixed timescale. What we do is organise visits by route, so if you get in touch from an area where we already have other measuring visits booked, we can give you an earlier appointment.
To speed things up, when you contact us tell us your town, a time slot that suits you and, if you can, send two or three photos of the space. That gives us a head start: we arrive at the visit with an idea of the solution and the right sample books, and we can often give you the quote on the same day.
If it’s a second home and you won’t be there, we can measure up with whoever has the keys and then send you the photos, measurements and quote by WhatsApp or email. This is very common in places like Nerja, Torrox and Almuñécar.
You can book the visit using the form on this page, on our contact page, by phone on +34 694 57 17 33 or on WhatsApp. We’re open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm, and if you message us outside those hours we’ll reply as soon as we open. The sooner you tell us about your project, the sooner we can fit it into a nearby route.
Do you also carry out repairs outside Velez-Malaga?
Yes. Our technical service covers all our areas, not just those near our head office, with the same team that does our new installations. We repair and replace fabric, arms, cassettes and motors in the Axarquia, Malaga city, the Costa del Sol, the Costa Tropical and Granada, and we also look after awnings and pergolas installed by other companies.
The most common jobs are fabric replacement when the fabric is torn or faded by the sun, adjusting or replacing arms that no longer retract properly, and motorising manual awnings with Cherubini motors and a wind sensor.
So that the repair can be done in a single visit, send us photos on WhatsApp beforehand of the awning, of the part that’s failing and, if it’s motorised, of the motor label, along with your town. That way we bring the most likely part and plan the route.
And if you want your awning to last longer between services, our blog has a simple cleaning and maintenance guide, written for terraces with strong sun and salt air like those on the Malaga and Granada coast. A little simple maintenance a couple of times a year prevents many of the breakdowns we see and greatly extends the life of the fabric, the arms and the motor.
